106 of 366 – First Blood (1982): John Rambo

There’s one man dead. It’s not my fault. I don’t want any more hurt.

People forget how truly good the first Rambo film actually is.  It like Stallone’s other franchise Rocky has been obscured by the media cliche they became.

First Blood is a film about a trained by the military killing machine who returns to an ungrateful country and he’s completely out of place.  The film is heart breaking.  Obviously the next two films didn’t do it any favours in dampening the cliche but I think two is still pretty solid and we don’t talk about Rambo 3 anymore.

John Rambo was an exceptional return to the franchise and I don’t know about the last one, it sounds horrible LOL.

Side note though – the First Blood soundtrack is fantastic.
