120 of 366 – Robocop (1987): ED-209

Please put down your weapon. You have 20 seconds to comply.

I love the ED-209.

From its Phil Tippett stop motion animation to its ridiculously aggressive design, the ED-209 has always been a favourite of mine and I don’t draw it enough for my liking.

Robocop is still one of my favourite films of all time, a perfect blend of cynical satire and the absolutely coolest designs.

This is part of the 366 Characters from 366 Films project running throughout 2020. The original illustrations go on sale over on the Lee Draws Stuff store the same day (around 9:00 am Brisbane time) and are available until someone snaps it up.

Remember if you dig my stuff and wouldn’t mind seeing semi-daily journal entries which include sneak peeks, behind the scenes and first looks then head over to Patreon and subscribe for as little as $1 (US) a month.
