I have about five B5 sketch cards already inked up and ready to colour, I’ve just not had the time with everything on. There is, of course, no foreseeable quiet time on the horizon so I’m just going to have to nail them down and do them. I drew the soul hunter a month or […]
So my goal with this series is to just pick a character from each episode to feature on the sketch cards so that eventually I should have covered off all the main characters as well as the majority of guests and recurring. Even though this is technically the first episode and everyone was being introduced […]
I’m doing a Babylon 5 rewatch and to celebrate I thought I’d do a character sketch card from each episode as I work my way through them. I’ve got a few to catch up on as I’m about seven episodes in. I thought Ambassador Kosh would be fun for the pilot movie because he plays […]
My rewatch of Babylon 5 has slowed quite dramatically as the head cold took over. But last week I did get to watch Soul Hunter which is such an interesting episode as it introduces this weird alien spiritual concept of soul hunters who have this interesting look and all the aliens on board are terrified […]
So with a Babylon 5 rewatch there are going to be some Babylon 5 scribbles that should make at least a couple of you happy to see. I love how well planned out the show was, with Londo foreshadowing how he and G’Kar will die, it really is an impressive and immersive show that deserves […]
I loved Star Blazers growing up and then when I learned that it was the Space Battleship Yamato years later (I think in Star Blazers they call the Yamato the Argo) I was beyond excited that the Japanese were doing a live action version. The 2010 Space Battleship Yamato was the perfect culmination of nostalgia […]
So I’ve got a new project coming up that I’m starting to get a bit excited about. We’re only hinting at it all right now but I think it’s going to be fun and a long time coming as we’ve talked about doing the project in the past (the “we” is Dan and myself, of […]
I’ve drawn this a few times now and it never gets old. Such an iconic beauty, I’m so happy they preserved it for Jurassic World. I’m really shocked that they haven’t released an official LEGO set for the gates, that’s kind of insane that they haven’t.
I think it was the right idea to increase the height of spook central in the film, the building needed to stand out from the others. I wonder if real estate agents disclose that a trans dimensional rip of biblical proportions happened there?
One of the places I’d like to visit when I actually get to visit the USA. I know they downplay the significance of the geological feature’s appearance in Close Encounters of the Third Kind as a reason to visit but I’m sorry, that’s the reason for me. Close Encounters was such a monumental film for […]
