In the A5 Character Commissions I’m happily seeing more than just Star Trek requests but even the Trek request are a little different.
When looking at him you suddenly realise how many hoses Hugh had , he’s absolutely covered in them, possibly moreso than any other borg I’ve referenced. I should also note that whilst the Borg find aesthetics irrelevant they do like to give all their drones killer abs.
Today’s A5 character commission piece was for Wesley Crusher done in the same style as all the TNG stickers during his Cadet period.
Now before everyone freaks out that this isn’t the uniform she was wearing in the episode. This is NOT a canon illustration. I decided to put Jadzia in the science uniform and give her the proper rank braids and finally kept her normal hair. It’s just all about fun.
I was briefly tempted to hold the Star Trek related A5 Character Commission pieces over to include in the Star Trek 365 but I realised that I don’t really have all that many left to go before end of the year so I might want to hang on to them. It’s too bad Enterprise didn’t […]
Wow, we’re finally here with a couple of days left before the new year! This has been an extremely fun ride, there were at least a couple of them that I didn’t think I could make work but I think they worked out well. They’ve certainly inspired me to take up the daily challenge again […]
Another tough one because there are so many quotable quotes from across the series. I settled on this one because it was original and that it is a beautiful sentiment and great advice for anyone. It’s delivered perfectly by Doctor McCoy. This is part of the 30 Day Star Trek Challenge – check out the […]
I purposely avoided looking this one up online as I wasn’t 100% sure if a Starship had been named after Carl Sagan yet on screen which from what I can tell now it hasn’t which is a travesty. Like many others Carl Sagan’s Cosmos introduced me to so many concepts about space, in fact I […]
Man I really struggled with this, yeah it’s all a bit of fun and stuff but I really hate it when characters like Seven and T’Pol (or any of the women of Star Trek but these two really cop it) are reduced to objectifying comments. It’s all a but reductionist and dismissive of the performances […]
I think the Planet Bajor is one of the absolutely most interesting and culturally rich places made up for Star Trek. I mean all the other cultures are interesting and stuff but a seven year story arc following the development of this recovering planet following a savage occupation and then it’s new found importance after […]
