It’s weird that the randomiser has thrown two Jake Gyllenhaal films together in the mix.
Donnie Darko was another film that I had no idea what it was about going in, I’d heard good things but nothing about what the actual film was. I watched it on cable tv which was reasonably new in Australia during the day and could not wait for Tracey to get home so we could watch it together.
It’s an amazing film that still holds up to the hype around it.
I’ve drawn Frank several times before and I don’t think I get sick of it LOL.
If you haven’t seen Donnie Darko and you worry it’s overhyped for what it could be I highly recommend checking it out as it a stunning film experience.
This is part of the 366 Characters from 366 Films project running throughout 2020. The original illustrations go on sale over on the Lee Draws Stuff store the same day (around 9:00 am Brisbane time) and are available until someone snaps it up.
