Day 39 – The Hangover (2009): Alan Garner

It’s where I keep all my things. Get a lot of compliments on this. Plus it’s not a man purse. It’s called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.

The Hangover is possibly a strange one for this list considering so far we’ve had mostly genre films which are generally always going to lend themselves to interesting scribbles as the characters are bright and instantly recognisable.

But I’ve got to say I really love the first Hangover film, not so much the sequels but that first one cracks me up (problematic Mike Tyson cameo aside) and is a perfect storm of relatability (multiplied by 1000) and just hilarious scenarios played straight by the cast.

Well I say that, but then there is Alan who is incredibly odd, but I can still believe people like him exist.

This is part of the 366 Characters from 366 Films project running throughout 2020. The original illustrations go on sale over on the Lee Draws Stuff store the same day (around 9:00 am Brisbane time) and are available until someone snaps it up.

Remember if you dig my stuff and wouldn’t mind seeing semi-daily journal entries which include sneak peeks, behind the scenes and first looks then head over to Patreon and subscribe for as little as $1 (US) a month.
